Legal Question in Federal Tort Claims in Florida

christmas light displsay

Our next door neighbor has gone insane with his holiday display. Traffic literallystops on our street, and we cannot get home without challenging a gaunltlet of of cars and pedestrians. Some verbally abusice to our interruption of their joy in our effort to get home.

I can find no local ordinance specific to this. Polite inference to the owner about the problem goes un answered. Where would I start?

You might contact the police if it is causing a traffic problem. They may be able to have someone alleviate that issue. Do you really want to sure a neighbor over Christmas lights?

You can file a suit to enjoin a private nuisance. Otherwise I know of no alternative. Although it seems like overkil between neighbors, its a long time until Christmas.
