Division of federal court jurisdictions
Are federal court jurisdictions divided by state boundaries or are some also divided by county boundary lines? Do any federal courts "straddle" county and/or state lines?

I received your post on 9-11-2000.
Federal courts exist in each state...the trial courts are the District Courts.
Some states have more than one District, which covers a certain geographical area.
The District Courts decisions are made to Circuit Courts of Appeals, where each Circuit covers many states.
The appeal from these is made to the United States Supreme Court.
