Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

If my 18 year old son is living in my house and does something illegal while I'm not there am I liable? If he has friends over while I'm not there and they do something illegal or leave my house impaired and get injured am I liable? Can I make up a lease for him to sign to release myself from being responsible for what happens in my house when I'm not there?

You do have potential responsibility. You cannot contract away the responsibilities in all circumstances. I think you need to address any specific issues with an attorney.
