Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Civil Suit

In September of 2003, I was incarsarated, until July of 2004. During that period, Some person or persons made way into my room, and gained access to my wallet. Which contained my ID and credit card. There was bout 1080.00 of unautherized charges put on my account. I reported this to the C.C. Company as soon I as I got my statement. I also contacted the collection companies that were hired to try to collect this debt. I sent all the info that was ask of me, including the Jail papers showing dates of incarsaration and release dates. Proving (in my eye )that there was no way I could have made these charges. If I can get a Judge to dismiss the suit, is there a way I can file suit against the creditor for defermation of ones creditablity, liability and causing my credit rate to be higher then the 6.0% I was told it would be, only to see my rate go t a 8.75%.

Oh the charges were made via the computer, and one of those checks for 500.00 that the Credit card companies send you though the mail. I was in Jail.
