Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I have been defending a foreclosure action to keep my property for almost a year now, my attorney has on numerous occasion sent correspondences, emails, etc...to the lawyers for the bank and for months and months they would not respond. It took for my attorney to file a motion and set it for hearing for them to move a little earlier this year. Communications were going for a short period of time, but then again opposing counsel and their office continued their lack of prosecution in the matter to get it resolved. I have incurred an enormous amount of attorneys fees for their lack of prosection in the matter for months at a time, when this matter could have been resolved many months ago, because they resolution to settle and come to an agreement has always been on a good faith from our end. Is there any way I can go after the bank for fees and costs, due to their lack of proper prosecution in this matter and get some portion of the amount spent defending this action?

You mentioned that you have an attorney, so you should speak with your attorney about this.
