Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I entered into an auto lease agreement with Volkswagen credit about a year ago. Looking at the lease agreement there is a section for a service contract. The cost of the service contract is $866.00. The service contract was not signed off on. there is a space for initials to accept the service contract. There are no initials. What does this do to the lease agreement? Does this void the lease agreement? The dealership has not returned my calls to end the service contract. What can I legally do?

Most service contacts has a section that deals with cancellation of the agreement. Read the agreement and follow what it says. Want to know the law? Probably not. As long as you signed at the bottom you likely agreed to the entire contract. Review the lease thoroughly to see the terms under which you can cancel the lease. There may be a provision that allows you to cancel and return the vehicle (note if the contract states if there will be a penalty). Remember that it is your responsibility to read an agreement thoroughly and ask any questions to the other party before you sign the contract. Regards,

It does not void the lease agreement. Read how to terminate the service agreement. If it was not purchased you are entitled to a refund and if they will not give it to you, then you can bring a claim in small claims court.
