Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

My husband and I are the plaintiffs in a civil lawsuit. My husband is an undocumented immigrant and just went to his home country for his permanent resident visa interview. There was a error made and he is currently held in his home country until it resolves. We will have a trial date set for probably within the next two months. Can we proceed without him being present? Will he be charged with failure to appear? Can I appear in his absence? Or do we need to postpone the trial?

You need an attorney. You cannot do this in your own.
