Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

November of 2008 my husband gave me a radio for my birthday. He switched the radio with the old radio that was in the car. A week later after only using the radio once we sold the car to our friends sister, Jessica. They needed the car that day so we agreed to let them take it as long as they brought the car back so we could switch the radios and I would keep the radio I got for my birthday. Since then we have been contacting them and trying to get our radio back with no luck. They always have another excuse to why they could not give us the radio that day, whether its work, needing gas, etc.. Now almost a year of struggling to get the radio back they tell us they sold the car last week with the radio in the car still. I told them they have to replace the radio and the refuse. What could I do to get my money back? Im also wondering if my name were on the title as a lien holder how could they trade in the car without my knowledge or consent?

You may file a small claims lawsuit for the value of the used radio.
