Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida

I had an argument with my girl friend and I led to beleive i was going to commit suicide.

even though i had no plans on doing it. She contacted to local police who came to me and ascorted me to a hospital under the BAKER ACT. Here is the problem. I kept telling the hospital that I was

not going to pay the bill nor was I going to be responsible for it since I did not walk into the hospital on my own seeking any sort of medical treatment. The hospital staff kept telling me that they would get have someone get back to me when I was there. I am unemployed and can not afford to pay for it.

My question to you is my girl friend responsible for the bill? And what about the hospital's not getting back to me?

Thank You

No your girlfriend is not responsible. She did the correct thing. When someone tells you they are going to commit suicide, you call the police. You created this problem yourself.
