Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida

overpayments

Overpayments are killing providers and specialist. Last year we spent more than 20000.oo in overpayments. Why does the insurance have 5 years to request overpayment and the provider only has 3-6 months to collect a claim on services provided. I have a request now for overpayment from 2004 and another from last year claiming untimely filling. they are saying that they paid us but they should have denied the claim due to the time of billing which was less than a year. this is not fair to the doctors is there any regulation that covers the doctor's side and which are they because this is ouot of hand now. can i send you all my overpayments and what is your charge
