Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

I was charged of petit theft in 2005 and have my records sealed after the "withheld adjudication". I hired a lawyer to represent me then in 2005. This case as far as I am aware is considered "sealed" I now want to file for my US citizenship since I have been a permanent resident for about 8 years. Will my case in 2005 affect my application to be denied and will that be a reason for me to be deported? I do have 4 kids that are US citizens and I do not want to be separated from them.Thank you.

Criminal convictions can be serious or not depending on the details. I'm wondering more about the circumstances of the sealing of your records. One petty conviction, if that's what you mean, is likely a solvable issue but that doesn't mean there aren't other issues you are not aware of which might pose roadblocks, so I can't tell whether you are removable or not.
