Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Expire driver license....

Hi....

Yestarday, a police officer stop me and gave me a ticket because I was driving with an expire driver license. He also told me I have to go to court within 10 days.

Since my driver's license was expire, I haven't drive my car, but yestarday I went to the pharmacy because of an emergency. is the first time i get a traffict ticket.

I know I made a mistake driving with an expire license, and I terribly sorry. but now I'm scare and sad, I will go to the court, but I don't know what to expect. Can someone tell me what's going to happen to me??

I'm marry to an US citizent, I enter USA with a tourist visa/B2, haven't been able to make my adjustment of status because my husband have serious finantial problems, that means we don't have the money to do it, so for the moment I can't renew my driver license. Not even pay a lawyer to go with me the day of the court.

Please I need an advice.......What's going to happen to me in court?? are they (the judge/court) can deport me??

What's going to happen to me??

any advice would be appreciate.

and sorry my english. I understand perfectly english, but have trouble writting.

Re: Expire driver license....

Depends on the court, but the court will probably not be concerned with your status. Just explain you are married to a US citizen and all should be OK
