Legal Question in Insurance Law in Florida

My son who was 24 was covered for life insurance. He was killed in a car wreck and now the insurancesays he had to be a full time student. They did not say this at the time he was added to insurance. Would they not have been required to request school transcripts before insuring him if this w as s the case.

Any conditions related to coverage should be spelled out in writing in the life insurance policy. You need to have an attorney review the terms of the policy for you.

If that was a prerequisite the insured typically signs off on that requirement. If that was wrong it is on the insured not the insurance company. The premiums which were paid should be refunded though.
