Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

A guy I was in an online relationship with is threatening to post nude pictures of me online. (And apparently has to some people already). I have texts of him saying that he would do that. I did not send him any naked pictures but he might have taken screen shots of a private webcam session early in our relationship. (I know this is stupid). What I would like to know is this legal? Can he legally distribute these pictures? I had just turned 18 at the time and had no idea he was recording. Can I press charges? Would this be under copyright law because he is publishings these pictures? thanks.

As a franchise attorney I would say it's more of invasion of privacy rights than copyright. You need to have an attorney write this person a cease and desist letter as well as build a record in case future litigation against him is necessary. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
