trademark violation

I have a question regarding what is

considered a trademark violation. is

it legal to sell knock-off purses if

you clearly state that the item is a

knock off but still looks like a

genuine article - i.e. same logo, etc.

You don't get to legally make or sell knockoffs.

The unauthorized use of the logo alone is a trademark violation. You can't cure that by saying it is fake.
