Legal Question in Investment Law in Florida

register of trust funds

I wonder if can help.

I believe my father set up a trust fund for me about 15 years ago. He has since passed away and my request for information regarding this fund has been refused by my stepmother. Is there a register of names of fundholders or/and their recipients held either in Florida/USA.

Any advise would be most gratefully appreciated. Thankyou.

Re: register of trust funds

If your father died with a will, you may be able to retrieve a copy of the will with the applicable probate tribunal. If the trust was established in the will, it should name the trustees, and who would have a duty to you if you were named as a beneficiary. If your father died without a will, the investigation might be a little more difficult. Your best course of action would be to retain a Florida lawyer. I have a number of references if you need them.
