custody
if i want custody of the child my ex wife abandoned and the state has placed in foster care with the maternal aunt. would i file the uniform child custody jurisdiction enforcement act (uccjea). or what do i do?

I need to know what state the child is in. If he is in Ohio and you are as well, then you can file in Ohio. If either of you is not in Ohio, then i cannot give advice about it since that would in part rely on another state's laws, of which i am not familiar. Needless to say, there is a path that you can go by to request the court of jurisdiction to give you custody. The child's best interests are paramount. You need a lawyer and probably a lot of money to pay that lawyer since it may be a battle.
