Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

If I have been diagnosed with ADHD and depression and have asked for a reasonable accommodation of simply closing my office door to minimize distractions and interruptions to continue to perform my job effectively, can my employer deny this request even though my medical provider has documented these conditions?

Private office sounds like a reasonable accomodation to me. Did the employer mandate that you keep your door open at all times? Are we talking about locking the office door or just keeping it ajar so others can enter? There is an argument here, depending upon many other facts which I do not know.

I would be willing to hear the details. Send me an email if you want me to contact you to discuss.

Kind regards.
