Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I want to know if your employer can hire someone in your same position level as you with way higher salary???

It depends, but probably yes. Unless the difference in pay arises as a result of some discriminatory purpose, the employer can pay whomever (s)he wants whatever (s)he wants. As mentioned, though, that is unless the difference in pay is based on some discriminatory reason. In other words, an employer can pay someone more because they have more experience, but an employer cannot pay a male more than a female just because he is a male.
