Can my employer hold my time card past my scheduled start time until they are ready to begin the daily safety meeting.

If your employer is not paying you for the time you spend at the office either at work or in safety meetings and you are an hourly employee, your employer may be violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and you should speak with an employment law attorney.
