Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Employer use of my personal vehicle

Can my employer require me to use my personal vehicle for an office move? They have a mileage reimbursment policy but the heavy equipment (100+lbs per item) that they want me to move and transport seems to be unecessary wear and tear on my vehicle. Do I have any options. I feel they are taking advantage because I have a truck and feel that they would not be telling me touse if if I had and economy vehicle.

Re: Employer use of my personal vehicle

You are an at-will employee. You don't have much options. You should get an agreement to pay you for any damage to your vehicle.
