Can an employer refuse to hire you if you take prescription drugs?

If the drugs you take impair your ability to perform and/or create a hazardous environment for you or co-workers, then yes. However, if the condition for which you take the medication is protected under the ADA, and a resonable accomodation can be made, then maybe not.
