Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

My employer is refusing to pay bereavement pay that has previously been paid to other employees as well as myself. I recieved it just 1 1/2 years ago. They told me it was an unwritten policy and I was paid in error. Since Dec. 2006 employees have been paid for this. I gave them a typed copy of the policy printed right off of thier computer, but was told that this must have been a draft that was up for discussion. Is this legal and is there anything I can do?

If it is not part of your contract with the company then they do not have to pay it.
