Took a sales position with a national firm.Fully disclosed that I had pwnding criminal processings stemming from 7 years back in the securities business.No prior arrests or convictions.Was hired by regional manager.Asked him again before resigning current job if I was cleared and OK.Answered yes.

One month later senior management informed me I was being terminated despite disclosure as my supervisoer did not disclose to them.Can I sue for damges as I am now unemployed

and relied upon my bosses representation to quit?Job performance during that month was excellent

As an at-will employee, you would have a difficult case to prove unless you have something in writing regarding promises made to you to induce you to leave your former employment. If you do and you wish a consult, please feel free to contact my office.

Are any of the assurances in writing or memorialized in any respect? As important as it was to you, it would have been a terrible mistake not to get it in writing. If it is your word against theirs -- you have a horribly difficult case to prove.
