Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Hurt, Then Left Out

My son, age 17 works(ed) for a pizza place, delivery driver, he was cut by a chopping machine, had to drive himself to the hospital and now when he asked about his schedule, they tell him he is not on the schedule yet, and he can no longer deliver as he is not old enough. He did this for over a month before getting cut. Don't they have to pay for his time off, and also get him on the schedule once released by the doctor?

Re: Hurt, Then Left Out

Your son should file a claim for Workers' Compensation with the State. This will cover any lost earnings and medical bills incurred in connection with his injury.
