Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Hello... I am a Massage Therapist working for a Chiropractor as an Independent Contractor. My question is: Can the Chiropractor withhold payment to me for my services performed until he receives the payment from the Insurance Company?

Hi. If you are an independent contractor, the terms of your independent contractor agreement with the chiropractor would govern. There wouldn't be anything illegal about an arrangement like that under an independent contracting arrangement.
