Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Mileage reimbursement

I worked for an employer for almost 2 years. Drove a quesstimated amount of 2628.14 miles for the business. It stated in the handbook it would be reimbursed. However, I have nothing in writing. I asked several times, owner stated they didn't have any money. I no longer work there and am taking them to small claims for paying me minimum wage for my last 2 weeks when I was on a much larger salary. QUESTION - Can I include the mileage in the claim??? What are the chances a judge will grant that? There are people who saw me at these places on a daily basis, knowing I was doing work related things??

Re: Mileage reimbursement

You have a chance to obtain the mileage reimbursement, if you can prove your mileage was used in the course of your employer's business. You should formally request payment in writing (certified and regular mail)with detailed information and a reasonable deadline. After there is no response or payment, attempt to amend your Complaint to add these additional monies.
