Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Money being taken from me after a company made a mistake and paid me to much
I was getting paid more than i shouldve and i noticed so I told the payroll department at work. I get paid through a staffing company and not the company i work with,anyways is it legal to make me pay back the money they overpaid me if it was their fault? They are taking it out of my paycheck without my written consent also. I am willing to do whatever it takes to see that they acknowledge their mistake and take the money they lost as their fault and not mine.I cant see how it would be right for me to be thinking i was getting paid the right amount and to be honest when i found out I was not and have to pay back the money they lost becaus eof their mistake.

If you think of the overpayments as an advance of salary you will have a better understanding of your legal position.
