Severance and Unemployment
I was recently downsized after 8 1/2 years at the same company. I did receive a severance package (16 weeks paid out over 32 weeks). Am I eligible for unemployment while I am receiving severance or does the severance have to first run out? Thank you!

If you are receiving "wages," then you are technically ineligible for unemployment.
