sundays off

i worked as a server.when i was hired i was to have sundays off.i never miss church unless im to ill.my boss put me on the schedule to call in on sunday.as i was looking at the schedule he came over and changed the call in to me working.when ask why that he knew i got hired with sundays off he said to bad if you dont like it leave now.i was so hurt i quit.this was not the only time he harassed me.it was going on for months.what can be done?

The fact that you quit may not be especially helpful to any claims you may have, but your employer should accommodate your religious beliefs unless doing so would constitute an undue burden for them. The first step is to file a Complaint witht the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which is a prerequisite to filing a lawsuit if a basis would exist for one.
