Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I work for a large corporation. More than 2 years ago, they expanded to be open on the weekends. I was "temporarily" put in a supervisory role while the company posted a job ad for a weekend manager on their website. I applied for the job; ultimately, I was turned down. To my knowledge, they never interviewed anyone else but myself. Two years have passed, and they still have not filled the position. Recently, they pulled the job posting off their website. I have spoken and emailed with my direct manager, human resources, vice president and the general manager. Several of them promised to look into it, but when I sent them an email about the status, several deleted it without even reading it. My manager now tells me that I am the weekend supervisor, but I will not get the title or extra pay that corporate allotted for the position. Is this legal?
