Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

home owner association

Our documents say that any changes, additions, or modifications to our homes must be approved by the ARB (architecual review board) This includes changes in colors to the home. There is also wording that the homeowner is responsible for maintaining the home. I want to re-paint my home the same color that has always been on it. Last year the Board adopted a rule saying only 12 approved colors could be used. I am not changing the color , only

maintianing my property as required in the documents

Re: home owner association

not sure what your question is. you may want to ask the association for special permission to maintain your house in the same color. You may challenge the reasonableness of the new board regulation, first within the procedures provided for by the association rules, then possibly in court.
