Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

As a landlord, do I have to provide tenants with an estimate of repair work I will do before they vacate the premises? My tenants have made numerous nail holes in wall, painted a bathroom and bedroom I did not give them my needed written permission and have removed fans and a light fixture and replaced with their own. I have a property manager who asked me to give tenants estimates on repairs I will do after they leave. Am I legally required to do this?

Unless your lease provides for this pre notice you are not required to do it. Your manager maybe trying to avoid further problems by letting them know the costs of rectifying their errors and mistakes in advance of their departure.

No statute to cover before they leave. However, you must within 15 days give them an itemized list of the repairs that y you will deduct from the security deposit. I hope you got one. If you did not, be sure to get the forwarding address because you will more than likely have to sue them to retrieve your loss.
