Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

A leasing company in Orlando Florida is claiming both I and my new wife of 1 week are required to sign a personal guaranty on a 5 year lease because "Florida is a community property state." Is this true? My wife signed a commercial lease in 2008 when she was single and the landlord required no personal guarantee, so I think the leasing company is trying to scare me and my wife into signing it.

That doesn't make any sense. Florida is NOT a community property state. So they are yanking your chain.
