Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

We live in a 55+ RV Resort. We have no lease.

The only document we are being asked to sign, by New Owner’s Managers, is a document with rules and regulations. Some of These rules we’ve already signed when we moved here 8 years ago. The new managers are not very nice and use the word eviction quite often in the document they want signed. Again we have no lease. When some complained about a garbage pail not being left out for trash that we may have after 4:30 every day or on weekends, that word EVICTION was threatened. When some went and asked that the comfort stations be cleaned, again the word EVICTION came up. We cannot complain, or suggest or look cross eyed at this woman manager with out being threatened with EVICTION. This once was a family owned park when we came here until after 26 yrs of running Our park, they sold out to a corporation out of California. The General Manager hired this married couple that have been at 15 other parks in this same area of Florida. Why is that? We ask ourselves. Our snowbirds are coming in everyday little by little and they will have stuff that will need to be thrown away as Our park was hit pretty bad by the hurricane. I’m asking is, what rights

do residents full and part time, have with no lease and these rules that say we can be thrown out when she has a bad day? It doesn’t state that, but that is what it boils down to. Can you tell me rights or maybe where to find answers?

Goggle Landlord Tenant rights in the State of Florida. This should tell you what your rights are. If you can not afford an attorney, find the nearest Legal Aid office in your area and make an appointment to go in and speak to someone. OR you can call an attorney that handles Tenant Rights and ask if they charge for consultations
