Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I have been living in this rental property for two months recently the fridge/freezer has begun to leak all over the tile and ice has been forming in the freezer on the bottom and all my food in the freezer is very frosty and some freezer burnt. The landlord turned the water off to the fridge/freeze so now we have no water on the door or ice at all he did this to see if it would stop leaking and i asked if it stops am i going to be able to use the ice maker ever or water and he said "NO". Is a half working fridge/freezer legal in this situation or do they have to replace it Whether it has stopped leaking or not cause i don't have ice or water?

Your lease agreement controls. Have it reviewed to determine who is responsible and for what kind of repair.
