Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I have a mother in Clewiston FL, there she has lived for 8 years w/ a good rental history. Last year her landlord had her sign a document stating she would stay for another year, but never sent her an updated lease agreement. Yesterday my mother received a document asking her to vacate the residence. How long would my mom have to vacate & is there anyway to fight the eviction?

She has until her lease expires, then she is considered a holdover. She would be subject to eviction and damages.

If the lease agreement setting up the time frame was not signed, she may still have an argument that it was agreed upon. You need to seek some legal advice with the paperwork that is available. How much notice exists in the termination notice? that matters as well.
