Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Hello, I’ve the following question: I’m working for an international company and we are in the USA based on a visa that is bounded to my company and cannot be transferred to any other company. My employer ordered me to suddenly move back to Germany and based on the visa I’ve to go and cannot even look for another company because of that specific visa that I’ve. If we’d stay we’d break the law and would be illegal here. Therefore I’ve to break the lease of our apartment that has a 2 month penalty for breaking the lease earlier. But I thought that since this is totally out of my control that there would be some kind of legal exception for this so that I don’t have to pay almost $4,000! But they told me I’ve to and I wanted to check if that is really correct from a legal perspective? Thank you very much in advance!

Your lease controls. An attorney would need to review the lease.

it will depend on what your lease states. However, if your job is requiring you to return then they should be paying your lease as part of the package that you signed to come to the US to work for them here. You would need to have that reviewed by an attorney. I suggest you contact an immigration attorney as to your visa situation .
