Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

i recently purchased a home . after a few months i decided to look for a roomate. i got one. we signed a lease for 6 months . the lease expired at midnight last night but he hasnt moved out or he doesnt seem to have any urgency to do so. i have the lease. Can i call the cops to ask him to leave?

No, you must evict him. You have to follow the statutory procedure. Hire an attorney.

No you can not. Will need to evict him. Give him a three day notice and if he has not left, then file the actual eviction.
