Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Rental for foreclousure

I had been living in this rental house for three years and i just find out that the house is up for sale. The owner did not tell me anything about this, so i freak out and move out of the house 3 days after the first of the month without paying the rent. Can the owner sued me for this?

Re: Rental for foreclousure

yes. The fact he is selling does not change the tenancy.

Re: Rental for foreclousure

Yes. You broke the lease. The fact that the house is being sold does not affect the lease or your right to be there. The new owner would have just become the landlord.
