demanded a settlement without my knowlege or consent

i was hit by a large commercial vehicle while stopped at a redlight. with no consent and little communication my atty submitted a demand that was not adequate (in my opinion) to injuries sustained. he said the pitiful sum he submitted was denied. i would rather go to court. i was not notified of the demand he made til after the fact. what should i do now?

You are entitled to be kept advised of the progress of your case. The lawyer controls the litigation, the client controls settlement. No settlement offer should have been made without your prior knowledge and approval.

Find an experienced PI lawyer in your area and consult with him. It sounds as though you need a new lawyer.
