Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

I own a home service policy with American Home Shield, which covers broken items in my home. In 2007 they replace my indoor a/c unit. My electric bill climb every month up to $460.00 since the install. We keep getting colds and so did our guest that stayed at our house. There was so much dust on my walls and fans and so forth. I was changing my air filter every 2 weeks. Thinking it cant be my a/c unit its new. Long story short i found that the a/c unit was installed wrong leaving holes to the ceiling and the air duct was not attached to the a/c unit. I took a camera and found a lot of mold behind the unit. AHS sent the same company out to fix the problem which they said was one of the worst case they had seen. I want to sue them for medical bills, electric bills, cleaning bills, carpet and more. they tried to get out of doing anything until i showed them my pictures. They covered over the mold and sprayed mold spray in the vents. AHS tells me i need to sue the the a/c company that they contract the service. Im unemployed and small claims cost $300.00 which i dont have. Which company is responsible? Is there anything i can do besides small claims court? This is the short version of the story. I have pictures of everything.

Small claims court is the least expensive means of getting financial relief. Name both companies as Defendants and let them and the judge sort out the relative liability between them. You may be able to find an attorney willing to take the case on a contingent fee basis, by going to your local bar association and legal aid clinic, but be prepared to pay costs of $300 or more. An attorney is not going to pay your filing fees when she has agreed to work on a contingent fee basis. Your claim must be substantial and provable, for an attorney to take the risk of working for free.
