Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

I believe I have a boil in my gum where my top left molar is. Its a bid ball sticking out of my gum. Feels swollen. I feel that the assistants that put the molar bands in my teeth for the braces, forced it in causing an infection. Im pretty sure Im going to need to see a dentist and then get minor surgery for it so that the infection doesn't spread. I don't have the funds to cover for the surgery, and it is not even my fault this happened. I don't think I should pay for the surgery. Can I sue for malpractice? If so, what are the steps I should take?
