Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

I have been seeing the same dentists for sometime to get cosmetic work done. I was given a treatment plan with prices. The first step was to do 6 upper implants. The day that procedure was to be done, the dentist decided to do only 4 of the implants. I went in 6 months later and when I asked him when the other 2 upper implants were going to get done, he said that now I would need a sinus lift and bone grafts, these were not in the original treatment plan and were not necessary to my knowledge and were not on the treatment plan when they were originally supposed to be done. In addition, I had 4 lower teeth removed and bone grafts done in order to get implants on those missing teeth. Just this past Friday I went in to get these implants, 1 year after the bone grafts were done. After 2 hours of cutting and drilling 4 holes for the implants, with a lot of pain involved, I was told the ridge bone was too thin to hold the implants. Obviously, I was not happy about this. I had paid nearly $2000.00 for the bone grafts and went through 2 hours of intense pain only to be told that my ridge was too thin to hold the implants. I then had to endure another hour of grinding and drilling so that I could get a fixed bridge instead. The dentist then decided to prepare 2 teeth for veneers without letting me know that these would come at a cost of $3000.00. The veneers were not on the treatment plan . I called 2 dentists today and asked if they could tell if my ridge was thick enough before drilling. I was quite upset to find out that there are several ways to check for thickness and that this should be done before any drilling is done. I feel like I spent $2000 on bone grafts and endured 2 hours of intense pain for nothing and now I am stuck with a heavy bill for 2 veneers that were done when it wasn't really necessary at the cost of $3000.00 .
