Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

One and a half months ago I visited the E.R. with abdominal pain and a low grade fever. They ran blood tests, urinalysis and a CT scan. I was told I had an ovarian cyst that had ruptured on its own and I would feel better in a few days, follow up with my primary care physician if neccisary, gave me some pain medication and sent me on my way. Yesterday, I followed up with my primary care physician and she showed me the results of the testing that was done while I was in the E.R. I had a UTI, blood and trace amorphous crystals in my urine. My doctor believes I have a kidney stone and a gallbladder problem as my symptoms have not subsided. My question:

Can the E.R. doctor/hospital be held accountable for FAILING to give me such pertinent information over one and a half months ago?
