Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

I wanted to know if this is possibly a medical malpractice.

My mother came to a hospital in the state of Florida in January for a ruptured appendix on a saturday her surgery wasn't done until the monday following that saturday. Also the surgery which was done was called a laparoscopic procedure where they placed a drainage tube to remove the fluid from the ruptured appendix. She was released and sent home about 7 days later. When she then had to return 2 days after she was released from the hospital for abscesses in the stomach, this time they did a exploratory laparotomy which I thought should've been done with a known diagnosis of an appendix that was ruptured. She's now in the hospital for abscesses within the abdomen again. Please let me know if this could possibly be a medical malpractice/negligence.
