Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

Wrongful death

My mother in law died one day after plastic surgery. While we do not yet have the autopsy report, the cause was due to high toxcity levels due to medication with contributing factor of hardening of the corotid artery. There is no surviving spouse no children under 25. However some of the children were dependent on her. There is also a business in her name that was also dependent on her financially and for credit reasons. The business is being run by her daughter. Can the children sue?

Re: Wrongful death

Yes, but a claim for dependency amounts is rarely -- if ever-- able to be brought. The Republican Party in Florida has created a system in Florida that favors the doctors and disadvantages the negligently injured.
