Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

How can I check on lawyer's past record?

I want to know how I can check on a lawyer's past record - where he's worked and for who. I have a feeling this lawyer is in cahoots with the insurance company being sued. How can I find out this lawyer's past?

You seem to be unhappy with your lawyer. You can check his disipline record by calling the Florida bar. Alot and I mena alot of people think their attorney is in cahoots with the insurance company when he does not get the settlement you expect. Remember cases are valued at what juries have awarded on the average in other case. Talk to your attorney and talk to other attorneys on your case to get a value.

You can run his name in Nexis-Lexis or on Westlaw. Every time his name appears on any appealed case it will show. You can find these services in any law library. You can alsogo to the Clerk of the Circuit Court in the county where he practices and check for cases filed.
