Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Clarification of Acronyms...

Was recently speaking with someone looking to hire a legal secretary, noted the candidate should have ''BI and UM'' exp. and be able to intake cases for ''BI'' and ''UM'' limits without the aid of the attorney...did she say BI?? OR probably ''PI?'' if PI, I know that's Private investigator - but I still have no clue what UM means...any help appreciated!

BI refers to Bodily Injury Liability or 3rd party auto claims. UM is for Uninsured Mororists or Underinsured Motorists coverage of the auto policy. If you are not familiar with these term or the difference, that job is not for you.
