Re: driver lives out of state

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. You really need to consult with an attorney who is experienced in handling a civil case of this type. Our office has handled many civil suits on behalf of people injured by drunk drivers. There should be one civil lawsuit filed in Florida against both the driver and the owner of the car. There are strict time limits for filing cases in court. We would be happy to discuss the situation with you. We offer a free initial consultation.

You can sue both the driver and the owner here in Florida. Under the law, the drunk driver will also be subject to a claim for punitive damages as well. If you need any assistance, please feel free to contact me.
